I will sing to you o' dear birds,
I haven't mastered your tongue but I try.

I am interested in the dynamic of creating music that does not fit into being just human, I want to recreate a bird, make for a bird but with the intent of the human element to exist at all times. A human is meant to listen to this, but a bird is also the intent. I want humans to be more birdlike and birds to hear a human as a bird.

These are recordings of birds that do not exist. I have imagined the vocabulary of a bird, like one would hear on a field recording but without the field. I may one day recreate the world around these birds, but for now they are tangents removed from ever existing anywhere.

I want there to be a broken down quality to it, where tempo, musical progression, and harmony are less structured and sometimes barely coherent. I work with only physical musical instruments and only have digital sound present from manipulations of these sounds. I construct my own experimental instruments and record them. ... more
